Within their first few months of being a band, dale raised over $5000 on the crowdfunding website, indiegogo, to record their debut EP, “love, dale.” Since releasing their EP in January 2014, the SoCal band has opened for New Politics, Diplo and Crash Kings and is getting frequent blog attention. Music Connection Magazine said “when it comes to the pop-rock equation dale just gets it” and writes, “dale combines some hard rock roots with superb hooks and a conservatory education; a formula that churns out good tune after good tune.” Their music throws back to 90’s alternative bands like Weezer and Ben Folds Five, featuring vocal harmonies influenced by the Beach Boys and Beatles all with the energy and aggression of modern pop-punk acts like Cloud Nothings and Wavves. Blending sharp lyricism, sticky melodies, and raw punk-explosiveness dale looks forward to releasing more of their popular “love, dale” live session videos as well as a series of singles in the fall of 2014.
